WHAT IS YERBA MATE?

Yerba mate is a traditional South American infusion made from the leaves of the Ilex paraguariensis plant. It naturally contains caffeine and has been enjoyed for generations.

NO CALABASH? NO PROBLEM.

A regular tea infuser is all you need to get started.

FOUR WAYS TO BREW

Traditional calabash: the original South American ritual, enjoyed with a bombilla and repeated refills.

Tea infuser: use 2–3g per cup, with 70–80°C water. Steep for 3–5 minutes.

French press: use 8–10g per 500ml of 70–80°C water. Steep for 4–5 minutes, then press.

Cold brew: use approximately 10g per 500ml of cold water. Steep in the fridge for 6–12 hours, then strain.
