Mati started with a simple frustration

One sunny afternoon, we were sitting together on a terrace looking for something refreshing to drink, but without sugar or sweeteners. Despite all the options on the menu, there was surprisingly little to choose from. In the end, the only real option was sparkling water.

That moment sparked the idea for Mati

Most ready-to-drink beverages rely on sugar to create flavor and provide a quick burst of energy. But that energy often fades as quickly as it arrives. This is because sugar can cause a rapid rise in blood sugar levels, followed by a sharp drop, commonly known as a sugar crash. As a result, you may feel tired, unfocused, and craving another boost shortly after. Sugar is often added to make drinks taste more attractive and encourage repeated consumption.

We wanted to create a drink that delivers clean, long-lasting energy without the sugar crash.

We also believe that if a drink needs sugar to taste good, it is masking the true character of its ingredients. We wanted people to experience the real taste of yerba mate, not a layer of sweetness covering it up.

Yerba mate already contains natural caffeine and naturally occurring compounds that are known for providing a more balanced and sustained energy experience. In South America, it has traditionally been consumed with nothing more than leaves and water. No sugar, no sweeteners, and no unnecessary ingredients.

That is why Mati contains only three ingredients: water, organic roasted yerba mate, and guaraná. No sugar. No sweeteners. Just real mate energy, as it is meant to be.

Join the ritual.
