What is Mati?
Built with intention
Why we care
Mati didn’t start with a business plan.
It started with a question: where does our energy actually come from?
We were looking for something clean, something natural, something we could rely on every day, but everything we found felt like a shortcut. Too sweet, too artificial, too far removed from its origin.
When we discovered yerba mate, we realised it was never meant to be that. It’s a plant with a story, a ritual, and a way of being consumed that is rooted in balance and connection.
That changed everything.
From that moment on, it wasn’t just about creating a drink, but about building something with intention, something that respects where it comes from, and the people it touches along the way.
Our impact
“To bring people back to natural energy, conscious choices and real connection.”

Mati is built on respect for the plants that give us energy, for the people who grow them, and for our own bodies.
We believe in choosing natural ingredients over shortcuts, connection over mass production, and conscious growth over fast scaling.
From day one, we’ve been building Mati with care: for the land in Brazil where our yerba mate grows, for the communities around it, and for the people who drink it every day.
We’re not here to be perfect, but to do better: step by step.
Our foundation
1. People
We work with organic yerba mate and respect the natural way it grows.
2. Planet
Built with the people behind the plant.
From farmers to partners.
3. Energy
Clean, plant-based energy.
No sugar. No unnecessary extras.
4. Community
Mate is meant to be shared.
Mati brings people together.

Grown differently
Yerba mate doesn’t have to be grown in monoculture.
In many cases, large-scale production strips the land and reduces biodiversity, focusing on efficiency over balance.
The mate we work with is grown differently.
Under the shade of native trees, as part of a living ecosystem.
This way of growing is slower, but more natural.
It protects the soil, supports biodiversity, and stays closer to how the plant grows in the wild.
It’s not the easiest way.
But it’s the way we believe in.
